(Kampala, Uganda) Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) held the APM Strategy Validation Workshop (May 10th 2017) as a part of the project of “Establishment of Agro-processing and Marketing Strategy in Uganda” funded by a bilateral grant from the Republic of Korea through Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) since 2013, which is implemented by the consortium of Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) and Korea Food Research Institute (KFRI).

The workshop shared the final draft of APM Strategy with local stakeholders such as Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF)’s Permanent Secretary (PS), KOICA Uganda Office, DPOs and leaders of farmer organizations from Masindi and Jinja. Other governmental organizations such as Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC) as well as donor agencies including USAID and JICA participated the event.

**The workshop took about four hours and was composed of Project Overview and presentations on APM strategy (by Jinsoo KIM, Project Manager) and Endline Survey Results (Dr. Rosemary Isoto). KDS and other PMC experts had an opportunity to hear various feedbacks and consensus from local stakeholders and will reflect those valuable comments on final version, which is planned to be launched at the end of June 2017.
