As part of ‘Capacity Building Programme for e-Government in Nigeria’, the Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) conducted e-Government 7th In-country Training at Public Service Institute of Nigeria(PSIN) in Nigeria, from July 16th to August 10th in 2018, with Korean experts in the fields of e-Government.

 

For the 7th In-country Training, Federal Ministry of Communications (FMC), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) actively cooperated with KOICA Nigeria office in conducting the training programme including five different courses of Executive I, Executive II, Professional, e-Security, and Train-the-Trainers.

 

176 Nigerian policy-makers and executives in the e-Government sector participated in the 7th In-country Training with high interests. Also, in the training, there were plenty of questions, answers and debates about the immediate application and implementation of the suggested e-Government system to Nigeria.

 

The next training is expected to be conducted from January through February, 2019 in Abuja, Nigeria.

 

** Korea Institute for Developing Strategy(KDS) is conducting the ‘2013-2018 Capacity Building Programme for e-Government in Nigeria’ which was ordered by KOICA with the purpose of improving efficiency and transparency of public administration service in Nigeria on a budget of 8.56 million USD.
