KDS has coordinated the KOICA training program, "Economic Development Strategy for High-level Tanzanian Officials", from 25th of March, 2010 to 3rd of April, 2010. - Title: Economic Development Strategy for High-level Officials (Tanzania) - Duration : 25th Mar. ~ 3rd Apr, 2010 - Participants : 11 Tanzanian officials - Lectures (1) Comparative assessment of Tanzania’s M’Kukuta and Korea’s Economic Development Strategy (2) A Prismatic Review on Tanzania's Development Strategy (3) Trade and Industrial policies in the 21st Century (4) Transport Infrastructure Development for Tanzania (5) Korea's Industrialization and SMEs‘ Policy - Study Visits Incheon Port Authority(IPA), Incheon Free Economic Zone(IFEZ), Hyundai Motors, POSCO KDS coordinated the training course for the 11 Tanzanian high-level officials under the title of "Economic Development Strategy for High-level Officials (Tanzania)" for 10 days from Mar. 25th 2010 to Apr. 3rd 2010. This training course is one of the KOICA's projects to assist strengthen the capacity of human resources for developing countries. The objective of this specific program is to cultivate the trainees' expertise and skills in each field by enhancing the understanding of Korea's economic development strategy. The trainees participated in seminars consisted of 5 specific themes, including trade and industrial policies, transport infrastructure development, and visited Incheon Port Authority(IPA), Incheon Free Economic Zone(IFEZ), POSCO, and Hyundai Motors. The trainees confirmed the needs of strengthening development cooperation between two countries, and found ways to apply Korea' economic development strategy to Tanzania through workshop with a Korean expert as a moderator.
