Dissemination Seminar for the 2012 KSP with Libya

As the final stage of the 2012 KSP with Libya, the Korean delegation, headed by Dr. Seung-hun Chun, the president of KDS and the Project Manager(PM) of the 2012 KSP with Libya visited Tripoli to deliver the final research findings and give policy recommendations to the Libyan senior policy-makers as well as other stakeholders related to each research topic.
Dissemination seminar was held on July 1st, 2013 at a conference hall, Corinthia Hotel with approximately 50 stakeholders and opinion leaders from governmental, academic, research, media and other relevant sectors. Before the seminar, the Korean research team paid courtesy calls to the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and Marine Wealth, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Int’l Cooperation, and the Ministry of Labor to share the objectives of the KSP and asked for participation in the seminar and overall completion of the project. This Dissemination seminar was to reflect the result of 2012 KSP toward practical policies and make an evaluation about the project. Most participants in the seminar agreed with the necessity of the Libya’s development accompanied by transformation of mindset, social stability, and qualified vocational education and training.
In addition to the dissemination seminar, as the Advisory committee of Ministry of Economy and the General National Congress(GNC) members had great interest in Korea as well as the KSP project, they invited the Korean delegation and had chances to discuss and share the results of the 2012 KSP with Libya, especially on restoration and vision of Libya. They showed a deep interest in the final research findings and policy recommendations and looked forward to having more chances to learn the Korean development experience. The final research findings of 2012 KSP with Libya is expected to be published soon and distributed for more readers.
