As part of ‘Capacity Building Programme for e-Government in Nigeria’, the Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) conducted e-Government pilot training at Public Service Institute of Nigeria(PSIN) in Nigeria, from July 29th to August 14th in 2015, with Korean experts in the fields of e-Government.


The pilot training programme including three different courses of Executive II, Professional, and e-Security was conducted with active cooperation of Federal Ministry of Communication Technology(FMCT), National Information Technology Development Agency(NITDA), Public Service Institute of Nigeria(PSIL) to prepare for the regular local training in January 2016.


With more than 112 Nigerian policy-makers and executives in the e-Government sector, in the training, there were plenty of questions, answers and debates about the immediate application of the suggested e-Government system to Nigeria.


The regular local training of this programme consists of five different courses(Executive I, Executive II, Professional, E-Security, Train the trainers) and will be offered four times between January 2016 and August 2017. The first regular local training will be conducted from January through March in 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria.


** Korea Institute for Developing Strategy(KDS) is conducting the ‘2013-2018 Capacity Building Programme for e-Government in Nigeria’ which was ordered by KOICA with the purpose of improving efficiency and transparency of public administration service in Nigeria on a budget of 8.56 million USD.
