The Performance Management delegation of the Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) visited Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from March 31, 2022, to April 14, 2022, to conduct a baseline survey of the “Project on Promoting Gender Equality in Public Decision-Making and Women’s empowerment in Mongolia (2020-2024)“, which is a multi-bi project funded by KOICA and implemented by UNDP Mongolia office.

 

The Project aims to enhance gender equality in decision-making in Mongolia through strengthening the legislative framework to overcome structural barriers to women’s political participation, strengthening networks for women aspirant candidates, increasing women’s interest in public leadership, and enhancing social awareness of gender equality.

 

KDS, as a performance management team, will monitor the implementation progress and performance of the Project through a joint baseline/mid-line/end-line surveys with UNDP Mongolia office, and organize international conferences.

  

The dispatched KDS delegation and UNDP Mongolia team developed joint performance management guidelines through a series of workshops and signed a Minutes of Meeting for performance management plans. In addition, the KDS delegation conducted in-depth interviews with key stakeholders Government agencies such as the National Committee of Gender Equality (NCGE), CSOs, and female politicians on-site.

 

 

KDS plans to visit Mongolia for monitoring and mid&end-line surveys and organize two international conferences within the next 2 years, until 2024.
