Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) has moderated the training course for the 12 Tanzanian senior officials under the title of "Economic Development Strategy for Senior Officials - Export Promotion" for 14 days from 8. 27th 2009 to 9. 11th 2009. This training course is one of the KOICA's project to strengthen the capacity of human resources for developing countries.
The Purpose of this program is to cultivate the trainees' expertise and skills in each field by enhancing the understanding of Korea's economic development and export promotion strategy. The trainees participated in seminars which consists 5 specific themes, visited POSCO, Hyundai Heavy Industry, Hyundai Motors, Korea Agri-Fisheries Trade Cooperation, and Saemaul Undong Central Training Institute. Also, the trainees confirmed the needs of strengthening development cooperation between two countries, and found ways to apply Korea' economic development strategy to Tanzania through workshop with a Korean expert as a moderator.
