From Jan 23 to Jan 27, 2010, the Libya KSP team from KDS visited Libya for an interim reporting workshop and data collection from various regarding organizations. The objective of this visit was to 1)share the initial research results and recommendations in return for the feedback, and 2) obtain additional data and conduct interviews for more in-depth research and useful policy recommendations. The interim reporting workshop was held on 25th, and more than 30 participants participated including the Ambassador of Korea to Libya , the Director General Assistant of NEDB(National Economic Development Board) as well as other relevant officials of Libya. Korean experts presented the interim research results, and listened to the opinions of recipient perspectives from officials and local consultants of Lybia. After the reporting session, the Korean delegations visited such relevant organizations as General People's Committee for Planning and Finance, Authority of Labor and Vocational Training, Institute of Planning, General Authority for Information for data collection and interviews. Dr. Soo-bong Uh, the Project Manager of Libya KSP team, conducted a lecture introducing 'Economic Growth and Skills Development in Korea' on the request of the government. Furthermore, the KSP team had a meeting with Director General Assistant of NEDB, where he expressed his active support on the programme. A final KSP report will be prepared and presented in late April in Tripoli, incorporating the collected feedback and data during this visit.
