A field mission team, headed by Kyongkoo Lee, a director of KDS visited Indonesia from 23rd August to 1st September, 2010.
The purpose of this visit was to evaluate KOICA’s Country Assistance Strategy(CAS) and main projects during 2004-2008 in Indonesia, to further gather findings through on-site interviews and an evaluation workshop, in addition to the in-Korea desk review and questionnaire surveys
The in-Korea research and already-conducted questionnaire surveys laid out the foundation for the on-site interviews (2009.8.23 ~ 9.1) To exchange perspectives with numerous government ministries and project/program execution institutes in a limited time, the field mission was carried out by two teams of consultants on the evaluation of CAS/Programs (KOV, training), and Projects.
The half-day joint evaluation workshop (8.31.09) held in Jakarta reviewed and presented the preliminary observations of the evaluation team. Around 50 development cooperation partners of Indonesia from BAPPENAS, SETNEG, MONE and regarding line ministries participated to help the evaluation put on recipients’ perspectives, participating as presenters and discussants.
The lessons and implications drawn from the field mission will be fully leveraged in providing recommendations to KOICA, paving a way towards a new CAS for Indonesia.
