The Korean delegation of the 2010 Ghana KSP headed by Dr. Dae Hee YOON, the Former Minister for Policy Coordination, visited Accra from 21 to 23 February 2011 to deliver the final research findings and provide policy recommendations to the Ghanaian senior policy-makers as well as other stakeholders. Held in La Palm Hotel in Accra Ghana, the Final Reporting Workshop began with opening remarks from the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of Ghana and the head of the Korean delegation, and was attended by about 70 participants from public institutions including the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Parliament. The Final Reporting Workshop became a useful opportunity to promote Korea’s Digital Budget and Accounting System and to find a way to apply it to Ghana. In addition, with the aims of applying the policy recommendations of this project to policies of the Ghanaian government and enhancing economic cooperation between Ghana and Korea, the Senior Policy Dialogue was held with the attendance of major stakeholders including Minister and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and Chairman of Finance Committee of Ghanaian Parliament. Through the Final Reporting Workshop and the Senior Policy Dialogue, the Korean delegation found the intension of the Ghanaian government to continually cooperate with Korea not only for the establishment of public finance management information system but also in other economic fields for Ghana’s development.
