The Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) successfully conducted the High Level Partnership Program for Economic Development Strategy (Ghana) from Aug 16th to August 22th, 2015.

We saw fifteen chief directors from various Ministries of Ghana, one Program coordinator from Ministry of Finance and a reporter from Ghanaian Times participate in the Program.

While visiting Korea, the reporter contributed five articles on the Program to the Ghanaian Times.

The Program was designed for Ghana’s Policy Makers to examine and evaluate Korea’s economic development experiences and to gain a better understanding of KOICA’s cooperative activities for Ghana while consolidating the mutual partnership between Ghana and the Republic of Korea.

In close consultation with KOICA Ghana office, KDS identified the detailed needs of participants with regard to the Program and developed a customized Program module for the Ghanaian Delegates.

The focus of the Program was centered on sharing of Korea’s Economic development strategies on Public Private Partnership (PPP), Science and Technology Development, Rural Development and Infrastructure.

The president of KDS, Dr. Chun Seung-hun delivered a lecture under the topic, ‘National Tasks for Development and Strategic Choice’ and underlined that the Korean example has served as a proof that development can be attained by providing right education and cultivating the "can do spirit".

His lecture was introduced in the Ghanaian newspaper.
