On June 1st, Dr.Shin Ki-deok was inaugurated as the new President of the Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS).
After graduating from Seoul National University's Department of International Economics, Dr.Shin received a doctorate degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University. Since then, he has accumulated wealth of research experiences as Research Fellow at the Daewoo Economic Research Institute, Senior Research Fellow at the Construction and Economy Research Institute of Korea, President of the CJ Management Strategy Research Institute, President of the Jeonbuk Research Institute, and Vice President of the KDS, and is expected to further innovate KDS in the future.
President Shin Ki-deok presented the vision of "Korea's ODA incubator," and expressed his ambition to strengthen the knowledge management system (KMS) to effectively use it for performance management and to help collaborate with experts so that executives and employees can perform tasks that fit their abilities and roles within KDS while cultivating their expertise in the ODA field.
In the future, KDS plans to promote various projects to achieve the goal of joint growth of ▲ Position as Asia’s Leading International Development Consultancy, ▲ To perform the leading role in the field of International Development consulting industry in Korea, ▲ To achieve joint growth of the institute and the staff.
