On November 21, the Government held the 「2023 Development Cooperation Day Ceremony」 as part of the 2023 Global Korea Forum and awarded government awards to those who have contributed greatly to international development cooperation.
At the ceremony, Dr.Chun Seung-hun, chairman of the Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS), was selected as the recipient of the Moran Medal of National Merit in recognition of his contribution to the spread of Korean ODA to the international community through the establishment of Korean ODA policies and government policy advice and the establishment and development of ODA through private consulting projects.
Development Cooperation Day is an event to share ODA achievements and announce Korea's willingness to contribute to the international community. It is held every year in time for November 25, when Korea joined the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC).
