The MOU between Economic Research Institute under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan (ERI, Acting President: Dr. Zhamila Bopiyeva) and Korea Institute of Development Strategy (KDS, President: Dr. Seung-hun Chun) was signed at the ERI conference room in Astana on September 14, 2010 to promote cooperation between two organizations for the joint study on small and medium enterprise-related policy.
To specialize in research on international development cooperation and policy consultation for developing countries, ERI endorsed the MOU with KDS, a leading consultancy in international development.
KDS, entrusted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea and Korea Development Institute(KDI), carried out the 2010 KSP with Kazakhstan on the subject of "SME-centered Enterprise Development Strategy for Sustained Economic Development of Kazakhstan" with the government of Kazakhstan.
Based on the MOU, ERI and KDS plan to cooperate on joint research, training, consulting and assistance for academic research.
