1. Project Objectives (Long-term) Strengthen integrated capacities in the agricultural sector—agricultural extension, education, and research—to support climate change adaptation in Cambodia (Mid-term) Ensure the effective functioning of Cambodia’s agricultural extension system based on extension–education–research linkages (Short-term) Strengthen public agricultural extension capacity and establish a system for training and developing professional CAOs (Community Agricultural Officers) 2. Project Scope ㅇ Develop CAO training curricula and deliver training and capacity-building programs for target participants ㅇ Develop the Agricultural Education and Communication (FAEC) program, improve its operation, and strengthen the capacity of FAEC faculty/instructors ㅇ Strengthen research capacity ㅇ Improve the education and research environment ㅇ Project management, M&E, communications/public outreach, etc. 3. PDM ㅇ Impact: Enhanced capacity in Cambodia’s agricultural sector to respond to climate change ㅇ Outcomes: - (1) Strengthened capacity of the public agricultural extension system - (2) Established a system for training and developing professional CAOs ㅇ Outputs: - (1.1) Development of CAO training curricula - (1.2) CAO training and capacity building - (2.1) Development and improved operation of the Agricultural Education and Communication (FAEC) program - (2.2) Strengthened capacity of FAEC faculty/instructors - (2.3) Strengthened capacity for extension demonstration and applied research - (2.4) Improved education and research environment |
